What size of turkey do I need to order?
December 23rd: 9am – 4pm
December 24th: 9am – 12pm or by arrangement.
How to store your fresh bird?
Remove your bird from the box, remove the string, and refrigerate the bird and the giblets.
Cooking times
Approximate cooking times, in a pre heated fan oven, at 170 c, gas mark 4. Please allow additional time if covering the turkey in foil or if you have stuffed the bird.
4 kg – 1 hr 40 mins
5 kg – 2 hr 15 mins
6 kg – 2 hr 30 mins
7 kg – 2 hr 50 mins
8 kg – 3 hr 15 mins
9 kg – 3 hr 30 mins
10 kg – 3 hr 50 mins
Ovens will vary, so please use the above only as a guide. Cook the turkey until the juices run clear when a fork is inserted in the thigh of the bird. Rest the bird for 30 mins before serving.
We provide you with a pop up timer, as a guide, to see when your turkey is cooked.
Do you have turkeys and chickens for sale after Christmas?
Subject to availability, we usually have frozen turkey and chicken throughout the year, which taste equally as good as our fresh birds at Christmas at a greatly reduced price. Please contact us for more information and availability.
